I read that when you deploy to the cloud you have to provide a manifest.json which containts the Hybris version, the extensions you use, the frontend urls, ect...
This sounds very interesting, however is it correct that this manifest file is not used on a local development machine? It would make sense to use the the manifest.json on a local environment as well. This would than generate the localextensions.xml, download the hybris platform, ...
