HI,
Why do we still find Sales Leads in documentation if it is deprecated? Today you can still assign a Sales > Sales Lead workcenter (COD_SALES_WCF COD_MARKETINGLEAD and COD_MKT_PROSPECTWC Leads). Should this be used or IS it deprecated? Even in the help in C4C you can find information on Sales Lead. Very confusing to read this in 2020 and it is still in Help in C4C and then find in this forum it is deprecated.
The Sales Lead seems to be only for when the lead is from a known prospect or account. Where if you were to assign Leads (appears to be "marketing") there is the option of choosing Existing account or not with the button.
Regards,
Doris
Request clarification before answering.
Prior to 1408, there were two LEAD objects, a Marketing “Lead” and a Sales “Sales Lead”. These were separate objects with the idea that a Marketing team would manage marketing leads/qualify them and Convert them to a Sales Lead.
Beginning
with 1408, the Sales Lead was marked as obsolete in the Scoping Elements. For
all NEW implementations this should NOT be selected. If the customer plans to
use Leads, the Leads Management object is under Marketing and should be selected.
In 1411, the Lead Management scoping element moves to the
Sales section and is no longer under Marketing.
For reference purposes the documentation is still maintained along with Option sin the system considering dependencies , nevertheless as it is a phased release , it will be removed
