Checkpoints for Commerce and marketing integration

Hello Experts,

Do we have any checkpoint list for commerce 6.5 and marketing cloud integration. The basic scenarios will be covered are:

1. Recommendations

2. Personalised emails

3. Abandoned carts

I want to understand what all integration scenarios needs to be considered for the above scenarios. Does all the above scenarios to work we should have master data replication from commerce itself ignoring the fact that the commerce and ERP has the same product ids/customer ids?

Example: is it mandatory to have the products replicated from Commerce? Can we have the replication of products from ERP as well? Will the product recommendation will work as well?

DAM integration for products images are required? Is it required to have the commerce PCM integration?

Do we have any documentation available?
