Change project merge

Hello

This is my first C4C implementation. I did close the first implementation Project and I have now a doubt that is worring me.

As I understood reading the sap help and blogs like

How-To Guide: Business Configuration- Change Projects and It's Life Cycle

is that In the moment I make my first change Project, i will only scope the part I want to check and the change Project will have his own activity list (with the options configured in the first implementation Project) then I will change if I need those activities an those changes will only take effect in the process of merging.

Thats Right?

Yes ,The live solution is not affected by the changes until they are merged with the production system.
