I’ve raised a feature request on the SAP Influence portal to enable Base64 file downloads in native mobile apps (Android/iOS) using SAP Build Apps. As of now, this functionality is only supported on web apps, which limits real-world mobile use cases like:
✅ Downloading PDFs, receipts, reports, CSVs on the go
✅ Offline access for field workers
✅ Handling file attachments directly from CAP/HANA Cloud responses
✅ Avoiding complex native plugin workarounds in a no-code/low-code platform
This improvement would allow smoother file handling from SAP Build Apps → CAP → mobile, making the ecosystem much more developer- and business-friendly.
