Cancellation Invoice status is Release Discarded Instead of Released

Hello SAP-Support,

we encountered follow issue:
the release for the cancelled invoice was discarded.

the following steps were taken while cancelling the invoice:

1) searched for the invoice in "invoice documents" and pressed cancel
2) saved the cancellations
3) refreshed the "invoice documents" and SAP showed the result on the screenshot

The status of the cancellation invoice has to be "released". Right now we have no valid cancellation invoice.

Please resolve this issue, thank you very much in advance.

Dear customer,

Hope all is well 

We could see that The Invoice Document was Not Released at the time it was cancelled. For this reason, it has turned to status Release Discarded.

Also, in this case, the Cancellation Invoice has the status Release Discarded as well.

The cancellation Invoice will only have the Released status if the Invoice Document is in status "Released" at the time of the cancelation.

This is the expected system behavior.
