The ideal upgrade procedure is one version at a time, sequentially.

You need to read the release notes and see if there's a version you can skip. Just to give you a heads up, there is a significant change in 6.5 that will not allow you to upgrade to 6.6 directly. So, you'll have to do some changes for 6.5 first before you can go to 6.6.

Again, I suggest to read the Upgrade Guide of each version.
