Can we enable code value to be shown along with the description in the Standard Code list field?

In on-premise ECC there are different codes with same description, the value help dialog box in ECC shows both code and value.

After external code list mapping is done for the particulate field in C4C. the related C4C field shows only the descriptions and it is confusing the user.

I want to display both code and value in the standard field drop down.

any configuration in C4C which can achieve the requirement without maintaining different description for each code?

Hi Vignesh,

meanwhile a functionality has been introduced which could be helpful for you.

In adaptation mode (via Key User Tools):

• Navigate to the field where you want to show the description + value
• Make sure you are on the "value" level of the UI adaptation and drill down into "Code List"
  

  

• For Display select "Code and Value" instead of "Value only

In addition to the Display setting, I see there is also the Sort setting, where admins/key users can specify how to sort values in the drop down list. For example, it is possible to sort by the Code or Description and some other options as well. Nice and helpful functionality.

(Side Note: There is the "Show keys within dropdown lists" setting in SAP GUI, which a user can enable to always show the keys--i.e. codes--in dropdown lists.
That is a very nice setting in SAP GUI, and it would be great if that same type of "global" setting--i.e. a setting that generally applies to all fields for a user--would be available in C4C.)
