Can we add user restrictions to Footer links?

Hello,

Can we restrict the footer links visibility based on the type of user? So I would like to have a set of footer links for anonymous users and another set for logged in users but can't figure it out how to do it.

Hi Daniel,

I just tested a restriction on FAQ link in the OOTB (Out-Of-The-Box) electronics store and it worked without any problem. After applying the restriction, saving it and synchronizing the electronics content catalog, the FAQ link is not visible to a logged in user while it is visible to the anonymous user. Is it not what you are trying to achieve?

I have attached the screenshot of backoffice for your reference.

Best regards.

Hi Arvind,

Thank you. Yes it worked in the end. We were using a custom jsp file for the footer component and had to make a few changes there so the restrictions on the link component would have effect.

Thank you for your answer. I have added a restriction to a Link component, but it has no effect. I did a sync, same outcome.

I believe you can add the restriction from backoffice. Have you added it. Open the link component and go to the restriction tab add the restriction. Synchrnize the component and make sure that sync is successful and changed reflected. Check in the storefront.
