Can't delete option value in CT04

Hello,

In CU50, there is one characteristic "COLOR" which must been choosen by the user for a specific product.

There are several options values possible (dark, white, blue, green, red, yellow, purple).

I want to delete the purple color. I go in CT04, i enter the characteristic "COLOR" and go to the value sheet.

Then i select the line for the purple color and i click on the trash can icon.

But sap don't "want " to delete the color purple, there is a message "the characteristic COLOR" is still used.

What do i must do to delete the purple color ?

Hello algoproton,

You can't delete characteristic values if they are used in any VC objects (dependencies, variant tables, class nodes, material variants, etc..). That especially applies for sales quotes and orders for the configurable material.

If you are still working in a development environment and you have not placed any quotes or order on the configurable material you can go through and 'lock' all objects where that characteristic is used, then you will be able to delete the value.

While deleting values (options), you are getting the the SAP message, please accept it. Then the value will be deleted.
