Dear all,
I’ve wondering why in FP09 general PL versions if a user doesn’t have any application authorization they can’t change their personal information such as password? I found out that just by giving access to whatever application in the CCO Manager app then they can get into the options user.

If I left it without any application authorization then the Settings option won’t pop up and if I checked the cco_standard.log I realized it generates a server exception:
INFO com.sap.scco.cs.webapp.DefaultExceptionMapper - Service Exception occured:com.sap.scco.cs.utilities.ServiceRequestException: UNAUTHORIZED
So I checked the roles permissions and find that there’s one called “Access SAP Customer Checkout manager”, but in the Cashier standard role if I try to set it to Yes it always let it in No, so I quite don’t get what should be done. In the technical description guide, it says that this pemission should be set for a technical user, so I guess this is not related, but still don’t know if it does.
It would be good to know then, if there’s a combination to set the permission or why does this thing happen when later versions like FP07 or FP08, I don’t have to give any applications permission to a cashier and they could make the change themselves through CCO Manager.
Some customers get pretty serious about why they should give access to some applications in the CCO manager just to change the password so I would like to have a better aproach.
I would apprecciate any help!

Nasmiye PR.

Dear npinzon,
You are right: What you describe appears to be an application error in FP09.
In FP11 however it works as expected: A user with standard role "Cashier" can logon and update the password in CCO manager. No authorization to any of the CCO manager apps is required for that.
If you require a fix in FP09 kindly report it as a support ticket to us.
Kind regards,
Gunther
