Can SAP Digital Payments Add-on be customised to integrate with Adyen or any other PSPs?

I noticed SAP Digital Payments Add-on has out of the box adapters for a number of Payment Service Providers (PSPs)

My question is it possible integrate Adyen payments or any other Payment Provider with SAP Digital Payments Add-on through configuration or customisation?

Hi Siddarth

For my project I was asking the same question back in 2021. Adyen has a plug-in for SAP Commerce Cloud (from the time it was known as Hybris Commerce) as a direct API whith the main basic features. If you read the Adyen documentation and the info on Github, there are some constrains (no further customizing is suggested t keep it standard). When I raised a ticket with Adyen early 2023 to inquire information on integration with SAP's DPA, the answer was not what I hoped for.

I believe some PSP's and SAP are maintaining their own vision/business model. Also be aware of a transaction cost working via SAP's DPA. There is room for improvement and standardization as no customer would like to be bound forever to the same PSP. In that way SAP DPA makes sense.
