Can registered product be linked with installation point and installation base parallelly in C4C?

Hi guys,

In C4C, I can link a registered product with an installation point first. Then I can also link the same registered product with an installation base. After this action, I found that the link between this registered product and installation point disappeared. Do you know why this happened? Is it as expected design? Thanks.

It seems that a registered product can only be assigned/linked to one installation point or one installed base at a time.

Hello Harvey,

FYI...Registered Product is also type/category of 'Installation Point' (same as : Functional location, Text and Product).

Yes - It does not allow to have same Registered Product to be added as line-item/link to more than one Ibase .

Thanks for your answer, it's the same with my guess.

From design perspective, I think an installation point of type is functional location means the address that a registered product can be assigned. it's like the way installed base designed. Maybe that's why we can't add an item of type is functional location to an installed base. Anyway, we can't assign a registered product to more than one address.
