Can I enter serial numbers directly into SAP Customer Checkout?

Hello,

I'm aware for articles which require a serial number, that you can fetch the available serial numbers from the backend system and select one for the article. But to prevent user errors, I'd like to enter the serial number directly without searching and selecting a number from the list. Is there a way to achieve this in SAP Customer Checkout?

Hello,

The answer really depends if you are using SAP Customer Checkout standalone or integrated with SAP ERP system and which system.

Standalone: Not supported until FP11. In FP12(planned for July 2021), you can enter the batch and serial number. It will not be validated.

Integrated with ByD: Not supported

Integrated with B1: Supported. You can enter the serial number or fetch from SAP B1 and select it or use Automatic Batch and Serial number determination.

Integrated with S/4: Not supported until FP11. In FP12(planned for July 2021), you can enter the batch and serial number. It will not be validated.
