In SAP C4C (Cloud for Customer), I have gone to Activity Planner > Plans, and created an activity plan and then created several tasks in that activity plan.
(I followed the steps that are listed in the documentation at the following SAP Help page:
After creating and saving the tasks, I then wanted to change the Subject of one of the tasks.
However, I found that the subject field on a task is not editable (i.e. it is read-only).
I went into Adaptation mode, to see if I could make the subject field editable, but I did not see any option there to do that.
I then went to the Data Workbench, and I found that I am able to update the subject of a task, using the Import functionality in the Data Workbench.
So, my questions are:
Request clarification before answering.
One significant issue/consideration that I can think of, with changing the subject of a task, is the following:
If the subject is changed, and the new subject significantly/fundamentally changes the meaning of the task, then that could negatively impact any instances of that task, which have already been created, especially any instances of the task that include notes or attachments.
For example, if the subject of a task is "Initial call with customer", and the subject is changed to "Call with customer", then there likely would not be any issue/confusion, regarding any instances of that task which already exist (i.e. had previously been created).
However, if the subject of a task is "Initial call with customer", and the subject is changed to "Request approval for price reduction", that is a fundamental change to the meaning of the task, and that may result in issues/confusion for any instances of that task which already exist.

And, furthermore, if anyone--especially someone from SAP--would like to add another answer to this question, that would be helpful for me, and I imagine for others, too.)
