C4C : Set Default values for Owner, Sales Unit & Sales Organization while creating Lead

Hi All,

While creating a new lead I need default values for Owner, Sales Unit, and Sales Organization and ect.. from Org Structure.

Please advise how can I set default values.

Hi Krishna,

You can use Party determination rules for Leads.

Go to Implementation Project --> Open Activity List --> Leads --> Maintain Involved Party --> Select a party and click on "Maintain Determination Rules"

Using this you can set the rules for defaulting the values of Owner/Sales unit etc.in Leads

I have followed all the above steps and when I clicked on Maintain Determination I'm getting a popup in that I don't have any option to select or change, Please check the below screenshot.

Hi Krishna,

You should be getting the attached popup, you won't be able to change the entries, but you can click on "Active" checkbox and the active rules will be executed sequentially in order to default the data.

If you want to default anything else which determination rule doesn't allow, you might have to opt for SDK / workflow based on the complexity of the logic.

In our system, all checkboxes are selected even though we are not getting default values for Sales Unit, Please check the below screenshot

Hi Krishna,

You will have to check the configuration maintained for your data as per the rules. E.g. Sales Data for account, Org assignment for sales employees.
