Dear All,
When we try to add items to service contracts the following message shows up:
"Item Type 'Quantity - Sales Contract Item' not allowed for Contract Option; Please delete the item"
Can you please advice, why it is not possible to add items to Service Contract, while it is possible to add them to Sales Contract. How can we change this set up?
As far as we understand (and t is written in guides) the two types of contracts are the same business objects. But in some cases they work differently. Can you please explain the cause of it? Where can we maintain this setup?

Dear Gergo,
Did you check the "Maintain Item Types" option available within the Service Contract business configuration activity? You can create custom item types within the service contract activity and use them in service contracts.
