C4C SAP Sales Cloud: import data for several business objects via Data Workbech

Dear community,

one of my customers would like import data to two business objects using the data workbench: he needs data about the customer account as well as data about the contacts.

One of my former co-workers once managed to map his template fields to both business objects. Unfortunately, I'm not able to contact him anymore to ask him.

Can anyone help me?

Thanks in advance.

I have not performed this task in some time however, you should be able to do as you require in Data Workbench by using the 'Complete Business Object' template for the Account object.

Steps

  1. Data Workbench > Import
  2. Select an object = Account
  3. Download the template below. I recommend using the Excel Workbook template.
  4. Populate your template. You will be using the 'Account' and 'Account Contact Persons' tabs.
  5. You will need to provide your own External Key for each record for each object.
  6. Create the relationship between the contact and account by entering the appropriate External Key from the Account tab in the 'Corporate Account External Key' column on the Account Contact Persons tab.
  7. Populate any additional information per your requirements.
  8. Save and upload as you normally would. You will save this as the current file type (.xlsx). Do not save as .csv.

Hopefully this helps.
