C4C: Outbound E-Mail Encryption

Dear C4C community,

after analyzing the available documentation and blogs about E-Mail Encryption for outbound Mails sent by C4C, I still could not figure out how to set up Encryption for all scenarios.

Our requirement would be to encrypt E-Mails sent by a workflow rule to employees. The chapter "Enabling S/MIME Security" of the C4C Security Guide seems to be the right place to look up information about that. Unfortunately the documentation only provides information obout specified scenarios:

• S/MIME Encryption for Password Reset E-Mails
• SAP Travel OnDemand: Outgoing E-Mails
• SAP Travel OnDemand: Welcome E-Mail
• S/MIME Encryption for Emails from Activity Management
• Analytics - Send Report Data, Broadcasting
• Sales Quotes – Submit
• Marketing – Submit Campaign

So my questions would be:

1. Is there a standard encryption or security set up which applies for all outbound mails?
2. Is it possible to set up encryption for E-Mails sent by workflow rules?

I have listed the available scenarios in the description. None of them seems applicable for my requirement:

• S/MIME Encryption for Password Reset E-Mails

• SAP Travel OnDemand: Welcome E-Mail

There is no scenario for E-Mails sent by a workflow rule.

Did you set up the steps above and see of this addresses your scenarios? If yes, could you provide what happens after setting up the steps and then going through steps 1 and 2?

As I said, this does not address my questions and the scenarios are not applicable for my requirement. I would appreciate any information about:

1. Is there a standard encryption or security set up which applies for all outbound mails?
2. Is it possible to set up encryption for E-Mails sent by workflow rules?
