C4C HTML Upload for Email Template Not Working

When I attempt to upload an HTML file for an email template in C4C it leaves the file name blank and no file is there. It does not give any error messages. The HTML was saved via Notepad using UTF-8 encoding. Any suggestions?

Hi Kathy,

As i was still facing issues, I registered an SAP Incident.

In my case there was some java script in the html template and java script is not allowed in email content.

After i removed the java script and uploaded the template the file name was shown.

Hi MJ,

I ended up opening the file in Dreamweaver and resaving it and then it worked. This must have changed something in the file that made it acceptable to C4C. Sorry that I can't answer better.

How did you solve this issue?

I am facing the same with a template for a newletter created by an external firm. Did you add anything to the coding in the end?

I found and followed the following KBA 2982022 - Sales Campaign Content Upload Error: "Please upload a content. Save Failed." (sap.com) but no positive results so far.
