[C4C] How to expose 'Customer Part Number' in sales tab of product master to Opportunity?

Hi 'SAP Cloud for Customer' experts,

I have a requirement to expose 'Customer Part Number' in Sales tab of product master to the product tab in Opportunity.

Can it be done through configuration change or does it require coding?

Would you please help how to do it?

Hi Joseph,

You can't.

But there is a solution. You can show this information in your opportunity by adding a embedded report.

This particular information is stored in the data source CUST_PART_NUM_PRODUCT Product Customer Part Number Master Data. (or alternatively Material Customer Part Number Master Data)

Define a report based on this data source and define an embedded report in your opportunity - define a view that includes the relevant fields like Account id and, Customer Part Number and Product id. Assign the report to the relevant business roles. When you define the embedded report in Adoption in the opportunity screen, select the fields as parameters and the Account ID as a filter

When the opportunity is created correctly (including sales organization and distribution channel - as customer part numbers are registered against these elements) and you select the item in the product tab, the customer number registered for your account, will appear.
