C4C: How to change the type of an already existing KUT Field

Hi there,

In C4C I have a problem with a KUT-field which was created three years ago. This field is just a normal text field.

Now the question is, how to change the type of this field so that this field can have a dropdown list?

Does anybody have good idea?

Hi,

This cannot be done, as of today, since changing DataType will cause a lot of inconsistency in the backend system for stored data. Hence the only solution now is, to create a new field with CodeList data type and make a initial load for all the values which were created in last 3 years or so.

Once a field is created and used its type cannot be chnaged
