Detailed steps:
- Go to Account Details
- Go to Sales Data and add new
- Click Sales Organization or Sales Office or Sales Group's Search Help
- View All - all organizations are visible
We'd like to limit the sales offices / Sales groups that users can see. However, I couldn't find a respective restriction inside the business roles. How can we restrict the advanced search inside sales data? We want users to only see the organizations that are under their hierarchy.
Alternatively, is there a way to dynamically change the advanced search depending on another field (with PDI-SDK)? For example, if I have entered a sales office, when I click on Sales Group search help, it'd filter the sales groups depending on that sales office.

We have the exact same requirement (like I assume many customers, that do international business with many sales organizations).
The solution from Arun Senthil Kumar is not sufficient, since these also restricts available filters in data selection (e.g. filtering all customers with sales organizations X), which shall be allowed for all users.
Right now I assume there is no possibility to just restrict the the creation of certrain sales data for certain user groups, which is kind of sad. We run over that requirements in like each and every project.
Anyone has any solution to this?

Instead of using the All query, you can default My Sales org, My Sales office queries, and hide the All query for the user.
This ensures they don't choose an Org which they do not belong.
I am not sure if this suits your use case completely

Created a submit at customer influence platform for this:
for query you can try the option given by senthil, to restrict the drop down visibility of you can try the code list restricitions
