Dear experts,
I want to prevent some end users from modifying the selection and view options in the reports, is it possible to hide or disable these options?
Thanks in advance

Dear jtrigo,
Once end user has access to a report, user has access to all fields that are already added in report.
However you can hide option "Add Fields" (Business Analytics -> Common Tasks -> Configure Actions) which will restrict users from adding new fields in report view/selection.
If you cant find Configure Actions under common tasks, then please refer KBA "2885719 - Configure Actions and Settings Are Not Available Under Common Tasks Work Center View"

Please check further from your end and let us know in case of any further concerns.

Dear jtrigo,
Please find relevant information as below:
-> One a user has access to report, they have access to all fields which are already added to selection and they can change field's value as per their wish but if we hide option "Add Fields" then they can not add new fields in selection.
-> If you don't want any of the end users to make any change in selection then you can use fixed value selection (by editing the report) and this way no field will appear in report selection and hence end user wont get any chance to modify them. But you have to edit the report every time to make change in fixed value selection.
-> One more thing you can notice here that, if a end user modifies the report selection/view, it will be saved as personalized selection/view and it wont have any impact on report selection/views for other users including admin.
-> And lets say if a specific user is not supposed to see data in report and you make use of Business Role, then they wont have access to unauthorized data.
Please let us know if you have any further concern.

Saurav Kumar
