we have an quote and a follow up order. The order cannot be deleted due to its status. Is there any possibility via User Interface to delete the relation between the two?
With data workbench it is possible however we need it in user interface so enduser can do that.
thanks - correct - it's from backend. The order in ERP shall not be cancelled since it is valid. We need to delete the relation between quote and sales order make it possible to change the sales quote (creating a new quote or copying is no option). Changing sales quote is not possible (or?) when there is a follow up sales order.
According to what you said I think my best option is to do PDI and for instance create a button for deleting the relation in order to automate what I did in data workbench?
So when I understand correctly the sales order is correct, but your sales quote is not and you cannot change your quote. ANd as your quote is fully referenced by the sales order it has a status completed.
I don't know how often this scenario occurs. Personally I would fix it with the workbench to stick to the standard as much as possible and besides your solution with the additional button might trigger abuse.
