Hello Experts,
During the implementation of a new Market (=New Country) in C4C, I cannot find the Country (Malaysia) in Project Scope.
I've read some related issues raised by others Users and my question here is:
What does the selection of a Country in Project Scope affect in C4C? I've read it affects Calendars and Language but what more?
Does anyone know the list of Objects/Features the selection of a Country will have in C4C?
Thank you in advance!
Regards,
Gabriel

Hi Gabriel,
All the countries available or defined in fine-tuning will not reflect the scoping.
The list of countries in scoping supports localization(Language, Translation) however it will not include all the counties in the world, to be frank its not really require to have everything in scoping.
Since this will not stop you using Malaysia or other countries in the accounts and transactions as its already available in fine tuning. you can also enable the languages you want to use using fine-tuning. Eg. Malay
As all our requirements can be achieved using fine-tuning itself, according to me scoping does not add any major value here.
My above comments are applicable only when you are defining a new country, in your case just enable Malaysia and Malay language(if require) in fine tuning.

Hi Gabriel,
Country basically will have impact on below items.
1. Currency
2. Language
3. Address information like Postcode and its length, states/region, address formatting, post code validation
4. Telephone prefix which is country code +60
5. Bank Data - bank number, account number length & Tax attributes
6. Time Zone, you can assign the specific time zone to the country
7. If you have any Back-end integration SAP ERP, CRM or Non-SAP systems then you need to take care of code list mapping <C4C Code> and <Backend Code>. The same way code list mapping is require for the states/region in the country & Currency.
8. Translations of defined new country name(label) to other languages(English, German etc) and also translations of other details to the language of the define country.
As of now I can think of the above items which we need to keep in mind.
I hope you know, that you can define new countries which is not in standard scoping in fine-tune Activities ->Countries
I hope this information is helpful. let me know if you have more questions.

Sathya

Dear Sathya,
Thank you for your quick response.
Regarding these features available I do not have further questions.
I do have a question regarding when we go to fine-tune Activities > Countries, I see Malaysia:

But I can't find the path to make this Country an option in Project Scope as one of the available Countries there.
Would you know how to make it visible?
Thank you in advance.
Kind regards,
Gabriel
