C4C Contact Business Addresses how does it work

Hi,

I have updated my question:

  1. Can there be multiple business addresses for one contact person? When creating a contact person for an account, a business address can be selected, to indicate the exaxt location the contact person is working. Standard the field is filled with the business address that has been indicated as main. In the application only one business address can be selected if creating a account - contact person relationship. If multiple addresses maintained on account level, it is not possible to select multiple business addresses, even if the contact person works on several business addresses. Is there a standard way to change this behaviour and make it posisble to add multiple business addresses to the account - contact person relationship?
  2. If i delete a contact person relationship - due to the fact that some body is working on another business address - i can just via the Account - Contacts - More - Add - where only the Contact ID can be entered. I can do not have the option to select one of the existing business address, the standard one is automatically selected. I tried to do some thing with the adaption mode to verify if i can change the business address in the contact person relationship, but i can't

Any input on how to manage business address related to contact person relationships are welcome.

Hi Marie,

1. Each contact relationship workplace address references exactly 1 business address. You cannot reference multiple ones. The same relationship cannot be re-created for a different business address either as only 1 relationship to a specific contact is allowed. So as far as I can see, we do not support that use-case. You would need to re-create the account with the other address in that case.

2. This is possible by editing the relationship business address in the quick view screen: Just select the existing contact (relationship) under the Contacts tab on the account, click edit on the QV screen and toggle the business address to a different value.
