Is there a retention time limit on the C4C attachments? would attachments get automatically purged after a certain time period?

Hi,
There is no standard automated process to purge the attachment in C4C, However, you can make use of "Data Protection and Privacy" work center to schedule one using "Depersonalize Transactional Data" or "Remove Personal Data" option.
