Bypass status check in archiving

Hi all,

We are looking to archive some data due to business reasons where some of the transactions are still open (leads, opportunities and so on). The archive routines for certain objects check CRM_JEST to make sure the objects will not be processed any further. Can we bypass these status checks, as we are looking to archive transactions regardless of what stage they are at? I have already reduced the residency times to zero.

Is it as simple as unchecking the " check active" checkbox against the relevant archiving object(s) in transaction SARA --> Customizing --> Cross-Archiving Object Customizing --> Check and Delete? Or do we need to run a routine to force the statuses of all objects we need to archive?

Hi again,

Please ignore my "check active" question, this only determines whether the the archiving object is taken into account by the next session of the cross-archiving-object check program.

I have found program CRM_SET_STATUS_COMPLETED but this only works for sales transactions of business category sales (BUS2000115) and we are looking to do this for various categories including Leads (BUS2000108) for example. Is our only option to create a Z-version of this program with the checks removed or otherwise call function module CRM_STATUS_MAINTAIN?

I'm sure we're not the first ones to be archiving objects regardless of posting date and status so any guidance would be appreciated.
