I see that as a misconception sorry, but BRIM is much more than just FI-CA. FI-CA is the final output and the system that manages the accounts receivable, but BRIM includes contracts, products and pricing, charging and rating, etc.

You can use FI-CA integrated with SD without using any of the real BRIM functionality.
