Backoffice - product editor rendering on custom logic

Hi all, I need to display different product editors for the same backoffice role. If user belonging to role A logs into backoffice, product editor attributes are enabled or disabled based on custom logic. If the product is not sellable product and already expired, that product editor should display all attributes as readonly where as if the product is valid, editor attributes should be editable. what is best approach to achieve this feature?

Hello,

1. If user belonging to role A logs into backoffice, product editor attributes are enabled or disabled based on custom logic.

This can be done using principle for editor-area context using different groups/ roles. (config.xml)

2. If the product is not sellable product and already expired, that product editor should display all attributes as readonly where as if the product is valid, editor attributes should be editable.
I think this may be done using SpEL expressions in editor area config XML, if not you can implement a custom editor area controller.
