Hello Team,
We have developed a trigger based campaign in Hybris with following campaign set-up -

Email 1 can execute on any day
Email 2 is scheduled to be executed on Dec 07, 2020
Email 3 is scheduled to be executed on Jan 11, 2021
Email 3 is scheduled to be executed on Feb 1, 2021
A record triggered by campaign on Dec 15 will receive email 1 (marked as 1) immediately which can execute on any day.
But it also received Email 2 almost immediately after Email 1.
The expected outcome of the campaign is that they would receive the initial email 1, but then skip email 2 and the next email received is email 3 on the scheduled date, i.e. Jan 11, 2021.
Presently, we are not sure if the system is working as designed, or if there is an issue. Either way, we need to mitigate this to meet the expected outcome.
Kindly help us with this.
Regards,
Pushpak

Hi,
The scheduling engine works in a way that dates in past are brought today's date. If I get your example properly, you would like that if, the date set on the action is in the past, it is not executed. What are the business use cases? I guess that if a date is past, the content of the email is no longer relevant?
May I suggest that you request this feature using our customer influence tool https://influence.sap.com/sap/ino/#/campaign/38/ideas?campaign=38 , under Improvement Request Category Campaigns. We take our customers' requests very seriously and we look into improving our software by evaluating the requests in this tool and the number of votes each of them get.
Best Regards
Isabelle
