ARTICLE MASTER CHARACTERISTIC VALUES - READ BAPI

Dear Experts ,

I want to read the characteristic values of Article Master and I am using below BAPI

BAPI_OBJCL_GETDETAIL

Object Key = Article number

Object Table = 'MARA'

CLASSNUM = Merchandise Category

Class type = '026'.

But this BAPI is not returning the characteristic values . Is there any other BAPI which is retail specific ?
