Adding custom field to Contact Profile

Looking for advice on how to create a custom field and have the custom field displayed in the Contact Profile. I was able to create a custom field, publish it, and could get this to display in Segmentation. However, I am unable to get this field to display in the Contact Profile. Additionally, do I have any control on which "tab" within the profile is displayed? Lastly, can I create a new tab in the Profile page or am I limited to what exists already. Thanks in advance!

Kindly check the following tutorial "Adapting the Contact Profile UI" which describe how to add a custom field to Contact UI. Custom field will be visible in Personal Data-->Additional Data
