Add Custom Fields to Segmentation

What is a criteria, which segmentation objects are available for custom field assignment? I don't see in the list my segmentation objects even though they used to have custom fields assigned before upgrade to the version 1709 SP01.

Can you try adding the fields first to standard All Contact/Consumers profile and then see if this data source is visible.

If the problem still exists then i suggest to raise a message with SAP as we had the same issue but in our case the fields were already added to _SAP_CF data sources. Also is this the first time you are creating the fields or you have created in the past prior to upgrade. if so, how did you add the fields to segmentation earlier as by default all the custom fields should be added to _SAP_CF data sources.

Thanks

I had created customer fields earlier, but now those also disappeared in the view they were before. Your mentioned data sources do not exist in our system.

I will create an incident for SAP.

Hello Maris,

Can you please confirm what you mean by my segmentation object? Did you create a Z segmentation object and Z profile?

Also what was the version before upgrade? 1709 or 1702?

Thanks

I am expecting to see two Z segmentation objects and profiles. They were created in 1611 version. We upgraded from 1611 to 1709 SP01 a week ago.

Hi Maris,

Can you check the following.

1. Open the Segmentation Configuration app

2. Goto Segmentation Objects & Attributes

3. select your Z profile

4. look for the view _SAP_CF_INTERACTION & _SAP_CF_CONTACT

5. open these views and you will find your custom fields there and then select them to be visible as attribute.

Thanks

Unfortunately there isn't such data sources defined. Looked into full list of data sources and none of them is _SAP_CF_INTERACTION or _SAP_CF_CONTACT

You need to add that data sources into your profile first. We had a similar issue and raised it to SAP where they confirmed that Add to segmentation no longer supports Z profiles. A bit odd I know.

I understand, but there are no data sources in the system generated with such names. I cannot add them 😞
