Activity Planner - task assigned automatically to nobody

Hello everyone,

I have a task assigned automatically through Activity Planner to ticket based on an automatic change of status. When I open the ticket. The task is added but with no processor or owner. In this way, nobody is notified and is aware of the added task.

Is it possible to assign automatically the task to the processor of the ticket? The same, if a manager approves a ticket, the task is assigned to him, not to the processor.

Is there a workaround or you have to force the processor to do a specific action which you would trigger the activity planner and assign him/her the task?

Many thanks,

Jan

Dear Jan,

The task is usually added automatically when the user clicks on the Activities facet. Once the current user does that, the tasks are being added and therefore the user assigned as owner.

If this is not the case, kindly open an incident in this regards and we will check the settings on your end accordingly to see what is happening.

Regards,

Paula

Dear Jan,

You would need to check the determination steps configured for Task and make sure the ''Current User'' is enabled for Employee Responsible.

Steps to follow:

- Go to the Business Configuration work center

- Go to the Overview view

- Search for the Activities element

- Open Maintain Involved Parties for Tasks

- Select Employee Responsible and click on ''Maintain Determination''

Hope this helps.

Regards,

Paula

Dear Paula,

thank you for your time to look at it and answer my question.

Unfortunately, this is not working as there is no current user at the moment. The task is added automatically by a workflow in the background. It's not triggered by a user otherwise your solution would work well. If a user opens the task, he is no more automatically assigned to it.

I suppose it is probably a limitation of C4C.

Many thanks,

Jan
