What is the difference we can see in the appointment, phone calls and tasks??

Technically appointment, phone calls and tasks are ll Activities
The appointment is similar to the appointment in your Outlook/Mail client which is used to block time of a customer/Employee.
Phone call is used to record the telephonic interaction like notes taken over a call or to track if a call is made or to be made.
Tasks are like a reminder or checklist of activities that you need an Employee to perform under certain conditions.
