Active Application Jobs vs. User Deactivation

Hi Experts,

I have a general question that belongs to the field of Application Jobs. We have scheduled repetitive application jobs in the system, some of which are executed hourly, such as adding a specific marketing area to the contact, etc.. The application jobs got created by a business user that is about to leave the company soon. So my question is if there are steps to take in order to ensure the application job execution after the business user got deactivated in the system. Are scheduled jobs getting executed if the connection to an active business user gets lost? Can anyone provide experience or more information on this topic?

Thank you for your support.

Best regards,

Hi Maximilian,

Please refer KBA 2549645 - Application Job Fails After User Deleted From System which is relevant for your query.

So The job should be copied and scheduled by an existing user so that it can continue to run.

Regards,
Saravana.

Hi saravana92 ,

thank you for your answer. Will copy the jobs to a new user then.
