Activating SUM in Storage Type 400. Questions about Capacity Check

Hi all,

What is it that I want to accomplish?

In have a newly created Storage Type 400 (SUM activated) and I want to use the Capacity Check to determine if material can still be added to the Storage Bin (the bin can hold 2 Pallets). Either to an existing pallet SU or a new pallet SU. Mixed Storage is allowed. Previously there were no Storage Types using SUM.

The warehouse materials are packed in boxes:

Material AA : 15cm x 15cm x 100cm (24 per pallet)

Material BB : 30cm x 30cm x 100cm ( 12 per pallet)

I have read this: SAP Note 392776 - Capacity check in the Warehouse Management

...but am still not clear...

Any thoughts?
