Account's Marketing Permission field in Segmentation model

Hello Team,

We're using Marketing on prem 2020 version.

An account has 4 contacts -

with permissions as below -

as you see, the account's permission is null, but account's contacts' permissions are opt outs for three and opt in for one contact.

To access account's permission, I use Communication medium Opt In field under account's view SAP_CE_IC_COMPANY -

but this field is showing account's contacts' permissions and not account's permission -

Can you please tell us which field to use to access permission at account level, i.e. account's permission?

Also why 'Communication Medium Opt In' is showing permission at contacts' level, when that field is under account's view -SAP_CE_IC_COMPANY?

Hi Pushpak,

good question, never seen an attribute specific for account permission.

In segmentation, if you use that attribute that you showed above (MKT_PERM_OUTBOUND_COMM_MEDIUM) and use the Segmentation Profile/Object "All Accounts", it will give you all Accounts that have at least one Contact with a permission opt-in.

But as per my knowledge table CUAND_CE_MP_ROOT should also hold the permissions of Accounts. So I think it could be possible to build a Custom View and use that one in Segmentation if you absolutely need that attribute for segmenting on Account permissions.

Maybe someone else has a better idea or know how to get that into Segmentation.
