Hello,
Currently we are facing an issue during account creation in Sales Cloud (integrated with SAP ECC).
1. When a new account is created the owner is determined automatically as he is the creator of the account.
2. In the Account Creation screen we enter the Sales area information (Sales Org, Distr Channel, Division)

3. The account is automatically transferred to SAP ECC as we replicate Account Prospects to the SAP System.
4.The Sales Organization and division stays empty (which is in my eyes not OK). This should be automatically populated with the information entered in the creation screen
5. Because in SAP ECC there is no Sales Employee entered in the partner function table (which is Sales Area dependent), the Account owner is deleted in Sales Cloud

Is there an option how to avoid this step or how can we change the process in order to keep the Employee Responsible of the Account ? The deletion is quite fast so the user has almost no time to manually add the sales organization in the account team... If you wait 5 minutes the account team line is deleted...

Hello Arian,
The standard fix for this is already planned and will be available in the first hotfix cycle post 1911 release. With this hotfix a new attribute salesArrangementIndependentPartnerFunctionListCompleteTransmissionIndicator will be introduced in the inbound service BusinessPartnerERPReplicationIn. If you fill this attribute with false in the payload, then the sales area independent account team members or relationships won't be deleted anymore.
Also to your question, that you already filled Sales Data during account creation but the owner/ employee responsible - sales / sales employee(as per your configuration) doesnt have the sales data mapped -- This is expected system behavior. The owner will be determined automatically and he will also be available as an entry in Account Team without Sales Data. Such entries will not be deleted when an update comes from ERP post deployment of hotfix mentioned above.

Any hints or suggestions are highly appreciated!!

Hello Arian,
You will need to ask your middleware consultant (PI/CPI) to enhance message mapping for Partner function in the middleware with the relevant action code to not do anything (06).
Hope this helps.

Hello Siraj
That's a good solution if you don't use the Partner Function Sales Employee in SAP.
However the Sales Organization of the Sales Employee should also be populated in the Account Team in Sales Cloud so it's correctly transferred to the Customer in the Partner Function tab in SAP.

Hi Arian,
I also face the same issue and I have the below post in this community. But haven't got the right solution yet...
https://answers.sap.com/questions/12852926/c4c-account-owner-not-getting-updated-from-mdg.html
I also have a SAP incident open 490068/2019, but SAP is still yet to provide a solution. If I get a response from SAP, I will for sure let you know.
Regards,
Siraj
