Hi C4C(SAP-CRM) expert,

In 'Products' tab of Opportunity, can we add 'Unit Price' field and caculate 'Negotiated Value' by multiplying 'Unit Price' with Quantity automatically when a user enter unit price and quantity?

I think this should be possible as a default function in such a advanced system as SAP-CRM.

Would you please help how to do this?

Thank you.

Joseph

Hello Joseph,

In an Opportunity there are three fields, wich have different purposes in C4C:

1. List Price : This field contains the product price coming from an active price list in C4C.

2. Proposed Value: This field is a calculated field that multiplies the list price with the quantity on line item level.

3. Negotiated Value : This field can be filled manually (e. g. in case you negotiate another price with a customer than initially proposed by the system). In case you have an integration with SAP ERP and trigger the price request for opportunities this field is updated with the pricing result from SAP ERP. The sum of all Negotiated Value fields on line item level is visible in the Total Negotiated Value field on opportunity header.

**List Price is read-only, because this price is defined in a price list and retrieved from there. You cannot change it in the opportunity as it is only displayed there.

**Proposed Value is read-only, because it is a calculated field.

AT HEADER LEVEL:-

Expected Value - Tentative expected revenue from the Opportunity based on the reps analysis of the opportunity - Manually maintained in the Opportunity header.

Total negotiated Value - comes out of the Product Negotiated value which can be manually entered on Product when you ad it or in an integrated scenario, will be pulled from the connected OnPremise system.Expected Value is more of tentative figure whereas Negotiated value is more concrete and defined based on Product Price added to the Opportunity.

Now as per your requirement you can maintain price list in C4C for a customer, and if quantity of product is entered in opportunity, proposed value ( always grayed out field as it is calculated value)will automatically determined.

This field is already existing.

Hope this helps.

Also the other way round, is to enter the unit price instead of the value, you can do this using price calculation. Go to Business Configuration -> Opportunities -> Document Types: Mark a document type as with „Internal Pricing“. If you create a new opportunity afterwards for this document type, on the facet Products a new field for the price is available (please check in casr it maybe hidden and you need to make it visible in adaptation mode). Here you can enter the unit price and the value is then calculated based on the quantity. If you have maintained a valid price list, this price will be defaulted from the price list
