1911: After creating a Custom Work center and work center view, how do I add a mashup?

I've created a custom work center view from Administration > General Settings.

I've made it visible to my user.

When I navigate into it, then go to adapt changes, I see no way to add a new mashup.

What am I missing here? Or is this not possible in 1911?

Hi Jason,

Custom business object's screen does only allow to add custom mashup which is created using SDK.

So if you want to add any custom mashup , first you need to create it using SDK , you can refer to below link How to Create HTML Mashup

If you are trying to add Standard / Custom Mashup into your custom screen using Adaptation mode, that is not possible as we don't have anchor available for it.

So only option is to go with SDK , develop your won mashup and add it from back-end.

That can't be right.

a) this used to work with the HTML5 editor: you could create a custom Work center, then adapt in a mashup (SDK-created or custom-created) into it. So clearly there used to be an anchor there.

b) what is the point of allowing anyone to create a custom work center from Fiori KUI, but then not allowing them to do anything with that work center? Because that's the situation we are in right now: I can create a custom work center, but I can't do anything with it.

I'll bring this up with the product team.

Attached is information we received from SAP. I haven't tried it myself but I think one of our developers has it working.

I would definitely do that, but I don't have anything in the work center at all against which to start with. E.g. no anchors against which I can find the "add mashup" button or move up to higher in the hierarchy. That right panel is... empty. No options at all there.

You are right, This is expected to work in RUI as this used to in HTML5. I know that you can add mashup and a new tab at the same time as well, this however was pointed out by SAP wont be available until 20/02

I have an incident created for SAP as well on the first Request - How to add a mashup in the Custom View assigned to a standard Workcenter, Will post an update as soon as i receive it

Can you also let us know if you get any more information
