In 1702 we brought a number of enhancements in Responsive UI (RUI) Analytics. I would say now we have almost everything which an end-user needs for day-to-day analysis. We are at par with HTML UI except a few features like conditions, exceptions etc.
Below are some of the key enhancements:
Dashboard Interactivity
We not just brought interactivity in dashboard but even made it better. You can now pass
multiple filters from one report to the other. Filters can be passed in following ways:
Single Click – To pass single filter
Control + Click – To pass multiple discrete filters
Area Select – To pass multiple continuous filters
Like HTML5, funnel icon next to target report can be used to see/clear filters.
Navigation in Dashboard
Just like reports, ‘Report to report’ navigation feature is now available in dashboard as well. This feature is available only in inspect mode. Follow the steps given below to use report to report navigation in RUI dashboards:
Step 1 – Select a report and go in inspect mode
Step 2 – Click a row or chart; this will load navigation targets
Step 3 – Click to navigate to the required navigation report
Kindly note – Navigation to an object (e.g. Account) is currently not available from charts in dashboard. This is there on our roadmap and is expected to come in future.
Homepage tile and KPI overview number formatting
We harmonized the way numbers show on various tiles as well as KPI overview screen. The values are shown as 4 digit number as long as they are less than 9999 and formatted as K (for thousand), M (for million) etc. after that. The number will be shown upto 2 decimal points.
Instead of * now we show error whenever the aggregation is not possible e.g. when multiple currencies are used.
Kindly note, with this change scaling in KPI has become redundant and is beging marked as obsolete.
KPI Overview in smartphone
KPI Overview screen is enhanced to work well on smartphone now. This is how the screen will look like
The top bar gets collapsed with vertically upward movement to provide more real-estate for report analysis.
Following features are now available in RUI as well:
Chart and Table
Show Values
Chart Settings
Table Settings
As an admin you can now configure reports with RUI settings by launching reporting in RUI browser from Business Analytics workcenter.
