One of the most expected deliveries for German customers using the Student Lifecycle Management solution is the Student Statistical Reporting legal enhancements that came into effect this year.
The Statistical reporting functionality within the SAP Student Lifecycle Management solution enables German SLcM customers to perform analysis such as student and exam statistics which are required at the Federal State level.
Statistical reporting functionality was first delivered in SLCM with Enhancement Package 7
Support package 4, however in 2016 there were some new legal requirements that German universities had to comply with.
Some of the legal changes that had to be incorporated into the existing Statistical Reporting features were:
- Adding and removing fields from existing reports
- Enhancing the existing student/exam report to extract statistical data
- Enhancing structures and APIs (function modules) to create/update/read new fields from customer programs and workflows.
The enhancements were delivered in Q4 2016 via two notes:
