Hi folks,

I am new to the blogging game, so let me introduce myself first.

I am Arthur Raess and I am the Product Owner of the SAP EMR Unwired solution. I'm very passionate about healthcare, as I worked on this topic long before joining SAP.

I began my adventures in healthcare almost ten years ago, when I started simulating atrial fibrillation by using complex computer modeling. Over the years, I got more and more engaged with mobile, which lead me to working on mobile intraoperative navigation systems and mobile radiology applications. In 2017, I took over the Product Owner role within SAP Health.

Enough about me, though.

I'm sure that you've been wondering about the lack of SAP EMR Unwired releases in the App Store in the past. And you're right, it had been quiet for quite some time. But since Q2/2017, we've been able to publish nine new releases.

Over the course of last year, we've gained serious traction and we have been busy collecting as much information as possible from our international customer base. We also played a key role in numerous implementation projects.

This helped us to develop new features and improvements for the SAP EMR Unwired solution:

  • Offline Storage for radiological images: allows users to download images e.g. for WiFi dead spots

  • All new image viewer: physicians can now scroll through tomographic images and enjoy the the improved compare functionality

  • Improvements to the UI

  • Support of Apple's TouchID lets you login in a matter of milliseconds

  • Automatic configuration using Mobile Device Management (MDM) allows administrators to remotely install the preconfigured app

Here is an example of our new image viewer:

As you can see, a lot has happened. What do you think?

I look forward to working with our customers, prospects and partners to constantly improve our application in the future.

Feel free to drop me any comments below.

Thanks,
Arthur
