As part of SAP and InsideView’s commitment to providing the most powerful and secure market intelligence platform, InsideView is implementing Single Sign-On (SSO) user authentication to access InsideView within your SAP Cloud for Customer system effective immediately - previously only required in a browser environment.
How will this effect your SAP Cloud for Customer environment?
· If your organization generally controls user identity via Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML), InsideView can be configured in your self-service protocol and customer IDP as a relying party. You may want to ask your IT department to set up SAML for your organization. A comprehensive set of instructions for doing this can be found here: https://kb.insideview.com/hc/en-us/articles/203062746
· Otherwise, if your SAP Cloud for Customer environment does not have a mechanism for SSO, InsideView will ask your users to log in with their InsideView user ID (email) and password. Once a user logs in to InsideView, the permission will be stored in a cookie so that the user will not be asked to log in again for 30 days (unless the cookie is deleted). If a user forgets his or her password, the InsideView login screen will provide a link to reset it.
