Introduction


With SAP Rapid Application Development by Mendix you have the great opportunity to create apps for business processes that are not exactly covered by SAP Marketing Cloud but that fit the data structure. With Mendix you can grant users access to data, such as their own contact data, without harming data privacy.

You can offer self-services to your users and customers that just fit a single purpose and nothing more, such as a guided approval process or you enable your call center agents to maintain marketing permissions without giving them access to the whole contact data.

Prerequisites


All you need is

  1. SAP Marketing Cloud,

  2. Access to the Mendix platform,

  3. Mendix Studio Pro installed locally,

  4. Your business and your idea of how you want to use SAP Marketing Cloud with Mendix to simplify your daily work and routines.

Example


One possible business process might be, for example, that you want to invite customers to a trade fair and then enable them to register themselves at the trade fair for product presentations.


For this, you can give them access to check and edit their own data and the product presentations you are offering.

Using the product, event, and contact data from SAP Marketing Cloud, you can invite your contacts to the trade fair with an email campaign where you can give them the required credentials. Then at the trade fair, they can use the credentials for the app created with Mendix.

There they can check their own data...



and register themselves at the booth for some presentations or change their registrations.
