SAP Real Time Communicator by Genband is a solution which is already integrated with SAP Cloud for Customer. So there is no need for any specific provisioning the tenant or user. Only thing is, we have to enable this functionality in the respective tenant and giving access to the respective business roles.

Let see, How to configure and how to use this functionality in the tenant

How to Configuration SAP Real Time Communicator with SAP C4C

Login from Silverlight mode to enable this functionality in the tenant and then

Go to Business Configuration Worcester - Implementation Projects –Edit Project Scope -Scoping and use the below path to enable the real-time communicator in the tenant

  • Communication and Information Exchange- People Collaboration, Internet and External Services -Real Time Communication



Subsequently, Go to next step I.e Question and use the below path

  • Communication and Information Exchange - People Collaboration, Internet and External Services -Real Time Communication



Then Go to (Beta) Administration-Security and then under Real Time Communications, Select End User Agreement and then read and accept the agreement as shown below



Once it is accepted, Status will be updated to Accepted as shown below under the Acceptance Details and then choose the relevant Data Center which should be based on your tenant subscription and save.



Now to Go to Administrator –General setting and under the User sections, select Business Roles.

Edit your respective Business role and go to Workcenter & View Assignments to assign the SAP real Time Communicator workcenter and its views to the role as shown below



Save the respective business role and logoff the tenant

How to use the SAP Real Time Communicator with SAP C4C

Login from the HTML Version to use the Real Time Communicator

After enabling the Real Time Communicator, A new Icon will be added to the existing Tool bar as shown below


Click on the Icon and expand the screen by pressing the Resize button in order to get the below screen


Go to Directory Tab and find the Online business users presence and start the chat

Certain browsers may require to install the plugin when you try` to access the directory tab

Note:

Additional License will be required to use the advance conversation options (Audio and Video)
