First let’s understand what SAP Universal ID is and what are the benefits of having one.

Are you finding it challenging to manage numerous SAP accounts and passwords? Imagine having a single, unified account that links all your existing company associations, allowing you to switch between them effortlessly. That's where SAP Universal ID comes in! 

 

SAP Universal ID will be your personal SAP identity, the S-user ID is a Business SAP identity given by company administrators and can be utilized as an entitlement under the SAP Universal ID.

With SAP Universal ID, you can: 
 

  • Take control of your experience: Own and manage your personal SAP identity. 

 

  • Keep your account for life: Use it wherever you go, regardless of where you work. 

 

  • Use one login for all your accounts: Manage one account and password by linking all your existing company accounts (S-user IDs) in one universal account.

Once your account is set up, you can access the SAP Universal ID Account Manager, which is your single-entry point to view, update, and manage your personal information, account security settings, and associations to companies.

SAP Universal ID will also preserve users' community reputations and learning certificates. This ensures the continuity of personal achievements across SAP platforms and services, reinforcing its pivotal role in user identity management within the SAP ecosystem.

Benefits of having SAP Universal ID: 

  • SAP Universal ID allows you to combine all your existing and future S/P-user accounts under a single password, eliminating the need to keep track of all your S/P-user IDs. 
  • SAP Universal ID includes all your existing and future S/P-user identities. In the SAP Universal ID Account Manager, you can manage all your user identities, personal data, security, and privacy settings 
  • Your SAP Universal ID is personal and belongs to you throughout your working life. You can use it to preserve your learning certificates and community reputation even when you change job. 
  • In general, it is not mandatory to create SAP Universal ID. However, if you want to preserve your community reputations and learning certificates, you will need to have an SAP Universal ID.

Now it has been made mandate to add a secondary email ID under SAP Universal ID to ensure that your SAP Universal ID is compliant.

If you wish to unlink a secondary email ID from your primary SAP Universal ID or delete your SAP Universal ID entirely, you can contact CIC via email with the necessary details. A confirmation email, including all your linked email IDs, is required to proceed. This ensures a written record of your request and helps prevent any discrepancies. 
 

Steps to Unlink a Secondary Email ID: 

  • UID (email ID created via account.sap.com) : 
  • E-mail, or S/P IDs to be unlinked: 
  • Reason: 
  • Proof of ownership (The request must be sent from the UID email address, or alternatively from an email account linked to it): 
  • Please confirm if you have any certifications linked to your SAP Universal ID.

  • You would first need to login to https://learning.sap.com

    • Scroll towards the bottom and click on Get Support under learning support. 
    • Again, scroll down towards the bottom look for Create a new case or check the status of an existing one 
    • Once done, you will be asked to enter the details and that should be sent to the training team, additionally you can check the details of yours existing training cases.
